Underground line work demands clean trenching, proper depth and bedding, careful connections, testing, and controlled backfill. We bring excavation capability and practical site coordination to the entire job.
Capabilities
Our process
Locate utilities and confirm route and access
Excavate to the required depth and grade
Install or expose line and complete required testing
Bed, backfill, compact, and restore the area
Underground utility work
Route, depth, grade, existing utilities, trench stability, bedding, connections, testing, backfill, compaction, and surface restoration must be coordinated as one scope.

Clean excavation and coordinated placement keep underground work moving efficiently.

Project coordination
Wallscapes Northwest confirms the appropriate excavation and installation scope for each property. Utility marking, permits, inspections, connection authority, and plumbing requirements are addressed before work begins—not assumed.
Water and sewer questions
Services can include trench excavation, new water service routes, repair access, pipe installation support, bedding, testing coordination, backfill, compaction, and restoration. The exact scope depends on the connection points, permitting, utility requirements, and whether another licensed trade is involved.
We provide excavation and installation support for sewer-line replacement, including route planning, trenching, grade preparation, bedding, backfill, and site restoration. Required permits, inspections, and trade responsibilities are confirmed for each project.
The trench is backfilled with appropriate material and compacted in controlled lifts where site and pipe requirements allow. Surface restoration should also account for the material and traffic that will be placed above it.
Many residential utility projects have limited access. We assess gate width, overhead clearance, slopes, protection of existing surfaces, excavation depth, spoil storage, and whether hand work or smaller equipment is needed.
Service area
Based in Kirkland, Wallscapes Northwest serves a focused Eastside and south Snohomish County corridor.
